Taenya

Taenya was in the middle of a class on gardening when a messenger entered.

"Excuse me, Miss Valmaris? I have a letter for you."

"I'm in the middle of a class!" Taenya angrily stated.

"I think your class can wait for this one. Look who sent it." The messenger replied, pointing at the front of it.

Taenya grabbed it and looked at the sender, her eyes growing wide.

"QUEEN Valmaris?" She asked, shocked.

The messenger smirked in response. "Yeah, thought so." He bowed and left.

"Class, take a ten minute break. You can remain here if you wish." Taenya said to the students. She went to sit at her desk and opened the letter.

Taenya, I hope this letter finds you well. I've finally avenged Tarron's death, and that of our family as well. The usurper King, may his name remain forever unremembered, has paid for his crimes. A lot of things have happened all at once, of course. First off, I'm now the Queen of the North, Queen Syndra Valmaris. You're not going to like this, but as the only other living Valmaris that I know of, this makes you Crown Princess. I can already feel the look you're giving me, but I'm going to do my best to deflect attention away from you. This does mean more Rangers of course, but they'll be given strict instructions to not bother you. Do come visit some time, will you?

"Crown Princess?" Taenya yelled when she got to that part of the letter. "Oh I'll come visit her that's for sure!"

"Professor?" One of the mages asked upon hearing her outburst. "Is everything okay?"

"Absolutely not!" Taenya said, exasperated. "Apparently I'm a Princess now. Just great! Where's Lutz?" Taenya said, getting up and storming out.

"Does this mean the class is over?" Another mage asked out loud.

"Yes it does!" Taenya yelled back as she marched away.
