Part 1

Taenya was tending her gardens like any other day, in spite of her great-aunt's final victory in the civil war. Crown Princess? Who cares about titles like that. Taenya just needed her gardens. Of course, that didn't stop her from being assigned a growing number of Rangers to guard her. Maybe if Syndra remarried they'd stop fussing over her.

"Princess, there's someone here to see you."

Of course. The Rangers wouldn't go away so she put them to work as her secretaries. All the various nobles constantly kissing her ass now that she was important were always frightened off by some stone faced Rangers.

"Who is it this time?" Taenya asked, not even looking up from the seedling she was working on. "Another noble?"

"If only it were that simple. She gives off a threatening aura and when we told her to leave she laughed at us and dared us to try." The Ranger replied. "Lord Xilro took one look at her and hasn't come out of his tower all morning."

All morning? That got Taenya's attention. "How long has she been here?"

"Several hours. She said she won't leave until she gets to speak with you, and with Miss Shotbolt."

The Divine Professor? Could it be? Taenya got up and turned around. "Did she give a name?"

"No, oddly enough. Said we weren't important enough to know it." The Ranger said. "Never heard of a noble this full of themselves."

Shit. It was. Taenya started towards the University buildings immediately. "That's because it's not a noble, it's a God!"
