Part 1

The flying ship carrying James, Emma, and Norio sailed through the skies of Karand without incident, and safely arrived in Palisade Bay a few days later. As the ship splashed down into the harbour, James could see Harrod standing on the dock howling in laughter. As James jumped down from the deck, Harrod approached him.

"Flying ships is it, boy? If only your father could have seen this!" Harrod howled, slapping James on the back. "I see you've retrieved your fiancefiancee and made a new friend as well."

"She's not my fiance!fiancee!" James insisted. "She's just a friend!"

"One day you'll understand, boy! Emma, great to see you!" Harrod called out.

"Harrod!" Emma yelled, running up to him and giving him a hug. "It's good to be home. How's my grandfather?"

"Same place you left him, still waiting in the Inn for you to come back." Harrod answered, laughing heartily. "So, who's our new friend?"

"This one is known as Norio. It is a pleasure to meet you, though Norio feels rather cold." Norio said, greeting Harrod.

"A tabaxi this far north? Well now I've seen everything." A familiar voice could be heard saying from behind a stack of boxes.

"Grandpa!" Emma shouted, running over and hugging Jakob Rawlinson as he emerged from behind the crates. "It's good to see you again!"

"How's my two young adventurers?" Jakob asked, leaning on his cane.

"Emma found something really important. Important enough for us to come home immediately." James said, approaching Jakob and giving him a firm handshake. "We better talk in your house. Uncle, is Cricket in town?"

"Yes, he's at my house with Heather right now, in fact. I'm intrigued to hear what you've found." Jakob replied, turning to start walking. "I'll meet you there, don't want you to get held up by an old man."

"I'll take care of the belongings on your new ship, James, go on then! We'll talk more later don't worry." Harrod said, shooing away the three adventurers. "But be sure to fill me in later, huh?"

"Of course Uncle! It's good to be home." James said as he looked around the harbour. With a contented sigh, he and Emma started off toward her house, with Norio close behind.
