Part 2

Neptis did not care for the so-called God who just entered the Inn. He looked weak, barely able to defend himself, and she made that known immediately.

"You look pathetic. Can you even fight?" Neptis demanded, walking up to him.

"Neptis..." Vaust began, starting to get up.

"Hold." Sargon said, placing a hand on Vaust's shoulder.

"Does the ocean look dangerous from the surface?" Thalassius asked, his voice smooth as silk. He lunged at Neptis without warning, his trident aimed at her throat. She looked surprised, but knocked it away and disarmed him with her bare hands.

Neptis picked up the trident, and handed it back to him.

"Again." She said, getting in a fighting stance.

Thalassius seemed to understand, and attacked Neptis again, and was disarmed again. And again. And again. For nearly 30 minutes Thalassius and Neptis sparred, until he managed to cause a small cut on Neptis's cheek.

Neptis put up her hand, and shook her head, returning to her seat. Once she was seated, she closed her eyes and nodded.

"You pass."

"Then by my right as supreme Goddess of Creation, as the Mother of all life, as the broken mirror herself, I name Thalassius the God of the Sea for all time. You are an Inner God, your life extends beyond the end of time." Vordea said, the room shaking as she did so.

"By the hands of time you are eternal. You are an abyss. Until eternity is satisfied you will linger. Beyond this kalpa and into the next you will reach." Eigengrau stated, causing a divine casting circle to appear around Thalassius.

"A promotion. Haven't seen one of these in a long time." Agbus said, chuckling slightly. Agbus walked up and approached Thalassius, digging around in his sleeves for some time, before producing a pendant, and handing it to him.

"What is this?" Thalassius asked.

"Your sigil. You don't feel it yet, but your divine spark is now a raging inferno. You hold complete dominion over the ocean. Enjoy eternity."

"So who's the second?" Sargon asked.

"That's where I had difficulty." Vordea admitted, shaking her head. "But then I remembered an old human God. Probably the oldest Outer God."

"Wait you couldn't possibly mean-" Neptis began.

"I do. Drota, the Goddess of Magic. She'll be here momentarily."

As Vordea finished speaking, a purple flash filled the room, and a middle aged woman with a far too large hat was standing on one of the tables.

"Is this is the den of snakes you spoke of, Vordea?" The woman asked.

"Oh come on what did you tell her?" Zalas said, laughing.
