Part 2
While they weren't having a meeting that day, Vordea was lounging in the Inn with Vaust during a slow period, draped across a chair like an oversized cat. But she felt it begin immediately.
"It’s begun." Vordea suddenly said. "Vaust, it’s begun!" she yelled to the Innkeeper.
"What-" Vaust began but was cut off.
"Confirmed. Apotheosis has started.” Eigengrau replied, appearing in the middle of the Inn.
"So, it’s come to pass?" Agbus asked, stepping through the front door. "She really did it."
"Hang on, what’s going on?" Vaust demanded. "How am I going to explain all of you being here at the same time?"
"Little Neptis has done it. She’s become a God." Vordea said, beaming with pride. "Well, she’s becoming one." Vordea quickly corrected, as she began to have body integrity issues, her arms turning semi-liquid, leaving black puddles all over the floor. "Oh, this is new."
"What’s happening to her?" Vaust asked, concerned.
"Her power is being remoulded. Neptis is taking her most powerful purview, war." Agbus responded, removing his hands from his robes. "Darling, you’re inking all over the floor."
"Oh we’re only just-" Vordea began, before turning entirely liquid and dropping onto the floor with a splash. Agbus raised his eyebrows.
"That was unexpected." Eigengrau stated. "Though not entirely so."
"Will she be okay?" Vaust asked.
"Hm. Yes. She is being reformed into a brand new God." Eigengrau answered. "One question remains, though."
"Her frustrating stubbornness?" Agbus asked with a small chuckle.
"In a word, yes." Eigengrau walked over to the puddle of black ink and knelt down. "Curious, just like her demons."
The puddle of ink bubbled in response.
