Part 2
Making their way back inside, Xonneth merely winked at Vordea as he crossed over the threshold, who nodded and simply mouthed 'Later' at the ancient demon. The walk back to the nave was much shorter than the walk to the door was, but all three of them put it down to the properties of the weird dimensional pocket the Greater Cathedral existed in. Elias glanced behind them as they re-entered the Nave and noticed the hallway behind had re-arranged itself, and no longer extended far into the distance. Turning his attention back ahead of them, he saw the rows of pews in the nave had been replaced with a table surrounded by 5 chairs.
Taking a seat, Elias noticed Vordea was in neither her jet black divine armour nor her flowing evening gown, two pieces of clothing that had come to define Vordea, but in something else entirely. She was wearing a simple button up shirt, and a knee length skirt, both of them white in colour. Against her alabaster white skin, they seemed to blend in, making her look almost ethereal and ghost like. He also noticed she was floating, and seemed to be not quite there.
"Vordea, are you okay?" Elias asked as he sat.
"Elias." Vordea said softly, in a ghost like whisper. "This is a painful memory for me. Allow me the proper mourning as I recall it."
Xonneth motioned for silence as Vordea sat in the chair for several minutes, tears pouring down her cheeks.
