Part 1
Sirene was surprised to find herself in a line of all places. A very long and slow moving one, no less. She remembered saying goodbye to Eigengrau in the graveyard, and then her vision faded. When it returned, she was here.
"Where am I?" She said out loud.
"Well isn't this a surprise." A man with goat horns nearby said, coming up to her. "Old Tick Tock is dead at last?"
"Who are you?" Sirene asked.
"Name's Xalmera. Welcome to Hell, Tick Tock." Xalmera said, smiling.
"It certainly doesn't look the part." Sirene said, gesturing around. "It's a lush grassy plain, just like what surrounded Isca thousands of years ago. The sky is a warm gold, like sunset. The air feels gentle, like a late summer evening."
"I'll let you in on a secret, kid. Hell looks like what you think it should, unless you're a demon."
"But that doesn't make sense!" Sirene stated, confused.
"You're in Hell now kid, get used to it. By the way, don't cut in line, unless you want to get beaten." Xalmera said, picking up his mace and grinning. "Unless you're into that, of course."
Sirene tried to punch him, but he simply held up his hand and easily stopped the force behind her swing, much to her surprise and slight fear. She hadn't felt this weak in thousands of years.
"First one's free. Sorry kid, you're just a human woman now. You don't got any of that fancy magic anymore. Still, I don't want to beat up old Tick Tock, so don't try it again. You're a bit of a legend with the demons."
Sirene supposed she didn't have much of a choice, and so spent several decades chatting with demons as they walked by, and there certainly seemed to be a lot of them. Seemed she was quite famous in Hell, which she found rather amusing. Eventually though, it was her turn to be judged.
"Well, it's your turn, Tick Tock. Go on in, the Demon King is waiting." Yet another demon said to her, gesturing at the large door.
Sirene nodded and steeled herself, before stepping through and into the room of final judgement.
