Part 2

"It's really Saint Liddell?" Vaust asked Sirene, once she and Yurn had emerged from her private room.

"Eigengrau confirmed it. I have explicit orders from Eigengrau to form an appropriate party to kill her." Sirene replied, nodding her head. "Yurn, since today it seems you learn certain secrets, you'll need to know who the Innkeeper is."

"What do you mean?" Yurn asked. "He's just an Innkeeper, right?"

"Oh he's much more than that." Sirene replied with a laugh. "He is Old Vaust himself, the God of Luck."

"Indeed I am. I even made sure you ended up here to scout that cabin out due to happenstance." Vaust said with a coy smile.

Yurn could only laugh. "I don't feel any lie coming from either of you, so it seems the Gods chose me." Taking a more serious tone, he looked over at Sirene. "So what's our next move? Who else do you need?"

"I need some of the most powerful mages and warriors who've ever lived, so we're tracking down Rebecca and Hamlin." Sirene replied, still smiling. "Rebecca Montague, well, she's second only to me in magical power. Hamlin is the High Priest of Order and has some... unique skills."

"You plan to track down the Void Knights?" Yurn asked, exasperated. "I expect you have a plan? I've been hunting them for years."

"Of course I do. Hamlin is a friend of mine, I'll just send for him to have the party come to the Inn. However," Sirene began, narrowing her eyes, "I don't care what reason you're hunting them for, it is no longer important until Liddell is back in the custody of my Master. Understood?"

Yurn scoffed. "What do you take me for, some single minded buffoon? I can set aside the law when it does not serve justice."

"Good. Vaust, make sure the Void Knights end up here soon, this can't wait." Sirene said, turning back to Vaust.

"Oh I can do better than that." Vaust said, grinning. "You never heard them come in, did you?"

"What?" Sirene and Yurn both practically shouted.
