Part 1
Vordea kicked the door of the inn open while it was full of customers, much to the surprise of Vaust. She never came while the Inn was open. What, or rather who she was dragging behind her was even more of a surprise. It was Sargon and Zalas, and both appeared to be bound by her tentacles. The look on her face was one of sheer anger, so he knew better than to ask why this was taking place in full view.
"Eigengrau! Get your spooky butt in here!" Vordea yelled, looking up at the ceiling. "Six attempts your way didn't work, so we're doing this my way!"
"Vordea, let me go!" Sargon shouted, struggling against the black slimy tentacles that bound both him and Zalas.
"Shut up! You're responsible for this!" Vordea replied, squeezing him even tighter.
A blinding white light appeared in the doorway as Agbus made his appearance, drawn by the waves of emotions pouring off of Vordea. "Vordea what have you done?" He asked gravely.
"The only thing I could do, husband. This is happening my way." Vordea answered, her clothing shimmering between her rune covered armour and her long black dress, as if unable to decide which one it should be. "I, Vordea, the God of Creation," Vordea began, using her true title. "The Great Destroyer, the Goddess of Change, and so many other names, will make her demands against the other Gods known shortly. Know that the way is blocked and none can now leave."
The patrons of the Inn looked around and discovered the doorway was now gone, as were all the windows. The room itself was now sealed off.
"Vordea, what is going on?" Vaust asked, finally approaching her. "This is unlike you."
The patrons of the inn looked on in horror, expecting the beloved innkeeper to become a stain on the wall. Instead, the angry Goddess of Change softened her expression, before speaking with him.
"Vaust, all will become clear once Eigengrau arrives. The blood red darkness she has foreseen will not come to pass. I can feel her arriving, so just have some patience." Vordea said with a smile on her face.
"The God of Insanity. I have not seen this in a very long time." Eigengrau said, making her arrival known with thick frost, encasing all of the mortals in the inn in a layer of thick ice. "I must admit you did not try this yet." Eigengrau turned to look at the other Gods, who were looking expectantly at her. "The cure of vampirism. The Raven King made a cure. I require a drop of blood from each God, freely given, nothing more, nothing less."
"So, this is what it's all about." Vaust said, hopping up onto a table and taking a seat. "Vordea said six attempts your way didn't work, what's that all about?"
"This is the final attempt. If an agreement cannot be reached then the heavens and hells empty, and all of you die." Eigengrau stated, her monotone unwavering. “It seems Vordea has mantled her most dangerous purview in a desperate attempt to make this work.”
”Now that we’re all here I’ll begin. Eigengrau seeks a single cure for one mortal, but that won’t do at all. We will undo our mistake.” Vordea's hair was twitching, as if moving on its own, and she dragged Sargon and Zalas behind her as she paced. "We will end vampirism. It took all of us to make it, it'll take all of us to unmake it."
"Vordea, this is madness. I cannot even begin to guess at how to undo that curse." Eigengrau responded, her frost turning to a sheet of ice as her emotions rose.
"Insanity is our only option left, Sirene." Vordea replied, touching Eigengrau on the face, which dispelled her form and turned her back into Sirene, much to her shock. "You're the greatest mage who will ever live in any kalpa, and I'm going to give you a secret. All magic is time magic." Vordea's eyes looked positively wild now, like that of a madwoman. "I talked with my purviews and they agreed, the Red Darkness must be prevented. No matter the cost. Not to me, not to anyone."
Agbus began to look uneasy. It was clear Vordea was losing her already tenuous grip on reality, but the vague feeling he was getting from Vordea was bad, and he didn't like it. He glanced at Vaust, who locked eyes with him and shook his head. Before Agbus could take any action however, Eigengrau spoke.
"All magic is time magic? What do you mean by that?" She asked.
"It's simple, all magic is subject to the flow of time, no matter when your body is, linear flow is required. Fire is combustion over time. Divine requires great amounts of time to happen. Displacement is changing the flow of time locally." Vordea answered, grinning like a lunatic. "At the end, it's time. Do you understand yet? You must. Even right now all these mortals around us are locked in time."
"Vordea darling, could you let me go?" Zalas asked, finally speaking up. "I'll help our lovely Goddess of Death, you should have just asked me."
"What." Eigengrau said flatly. "You'll fucking what?"
This caught even Vordea off guard, and her tentacles spoke to each other in their strange chattering language before roughly flinging Zalas onto one of the ice covered lounge chairs. This left a tightly bound Sargon, who was gagged from speaking by the tentacle covering his mouth. Eigengrau motioned at him.
"What about him?" She asked.
"The Liar Judge?" Vordea asked. "What about him? I had a revelation after what you told me. Justice itself is the problem, not Sargon. To solve this problem, I'm going to reclaim this purview, and extinguish it."
"Agbus, if you have an idea now's the fucking time!" Eigengrau yelled, getting into a fighting stance. "Vordea, I can't let you kill Sargon."
"Eigengrau, the Dawn!" Agbus shouted, suddenly realizing where all of Vordea's insanity was leading. "Vordea, the price of love when faced with tragedy. I'm not repeating this scene again!" Agbus yelled, appearing before Vordea in an instant, towering over the Goddess. "Vordea, be sealed once more!" He thundered, pulling Orenmir out of his sleeve.
"I will never be chained again, not by anyone!" Vordea screamed, Orenmir splintering into shards when faced with the psychic pressure from the raging Goddess.
"No, I won't let it end like this! This will not be the path we must walk! All Stop!" Eigengrau shouted, as more and more casting circles appeared around her feet, numbering in the hundreds. "Time slows, time crawls, time does not move at all! All are bound! None escape!"
