Part 2
Eigengrau slumped to the floor. The path had diverged and they were on an entirely new one. Whatever she or Vordea did worked. She looked up at the rest of the Gods, currently frozen in time.
"Vordea, you can stop pretending." She said, seeing Vordea looking directly at her. "How are you feeling?"
"Eigen... I'm sorry." Vordea said sheepishly, slowly releasing Sargon, and gathering the now floating shards of Orenmir, before placing them back inside Agbus's sleeve. "I don't know what came over me."
"You fully mantled Insanity. I think we came within a few seconds of every mage on Karand dying." Eigengrau said, shaking her head. "The shape is new, if you're wondering. We did it."
"So we did it!" Vordea said, beaming. "How are we going to explain to the rest of them, though?"
"What, you being only regular crazy again instead of full on insanity?"
"Well..." Vordea began, wanting to argue but knowing Eigengrau was right. "Yes."
"Actually, first, how the FUCK did you dispel my personality?" Eigengrau asked, finally standing up. "That shouldn't be possible! That's a divine transmorgify, it's not something you can just dispel."
"Going to be honest with you Eigen, I don't know either.”"
”"Well we can figure it out later.”" Eigengrau said, snapping her fingers only to discover nothing happened. Next she tried her casting circles and again nothing happened. “"Vordea…”"
“"I think I just figured out what I did.”" Vordea replied, hanging her head in shame. “"We might have a… problem.”" Vordea approached Eigengrau and looked her carefully in the eyes before nodding. “"Yes, we definitely have a problem. Pure black eyes, light grey robes, but you otherwise look exactly like Sirene.”"
”"Vordea what did you do?”" Eigengrau asked, completely exasperated now.
”"I think I merged your two personalities. Voice isn’t monotone but it’s still a bit flat, you’re speaking less stiffly but still not very fluid, and you’re still far too calm to be Sirene.”" Vordea explained as she dusted off Agbus’s robes.
Eigengrau wanted to keep arguing with Vordea but the original topic at hand still needed to be dealt with. So she looked around the frozen room.
”"I think it’s well past time we resume the argument. Vordea, lounge chair, I’ll intercept Agbus, you make sure Zalas doesn’t change his mind.”"
Vordea nodded and sat on the lounge chair, which caused all the ice in the vicinity to vanish. “"Ready when you are!”"
Eigengrau nodded and clasped her hands together. “"The ice gives way, the frost melts, time the unstoppable comes forth!”"
