Part 2

Hours later, as the meeting grew to a close, Eigengrau called for silence.

“Gentlemen, it is time. We must remove Vordea’s shackles.” Eigengrau said, gesturing to the white chains on Vordea’s arms. “Vordea, it is time to announce your return. Let us reconvene outside.”

After a few minutes, the magical circle was ready. Dozens of runes etched into the ground and multiple circles inside themselves surrounded Vordea, who stood alone at the centre. Eigengrau and Vordea spoke the words of return.

“If I can make my way to the other side of sorrow,” they spoke, and the chains groaned as Vordea’s power flowed into her from her claymore.

“I will merely wish for oblivion to take me.” they continued, and the chains cracked, then shattered, as Vordea returned to her full power for the first time in thousands of years.

“The collapsed promise returns to the other side of despair.” they finished, and the etched runes on Vordea’s armour glowed as the Primordial Goddess was at her apex of strength for the first time in recorded history.

Vordea took her claymore and stabbed it into the centre of the magical circles. “Let Orenmir serve as a promise to return here, and a threat that I have returned. Shadry the Oath-breaker will not escape justice a second time. He does not face Vordea, the Goddess of Change. He faces Vordea, the God of Creation!” Vordea yelled as she broke through the liminal barrier, cracked reality, and entered the mortal realm for the first time since the dawn.
