Part 2
Later, as Emma and James sat in his hotel room, Emma was dressing after a much needed bath. She smirked as she looked over at James, who had steadfastly refused to even look at her while she was naked. Such a gentleman, but far too stiff, she thought.
"Emma, tell me what you've figured out about the ruins so far." James said, as he continued to look out the window. "Your letter was just enough to get me interested, but not enough to form a picture."
"Honestly James, I'm not sure." Emma admitted. "It's a week north of here, and 4 weeks down."
"Down?" James asked, turning to look at her with a puzzled look on his face. He quickly turned away again as Emma's shirt was still unbuttoned, causing her to laugh. "It's not funny, you're still indecent!"
"James you're such a stiff prude. But yes, down. Largest caves I've ever found." Emma walked over to James and put her arms around him. "Come on James, not even a peek?"
"Well... okay." James relented, knowing Emma wouldn't drop the subject unless he did. He slowly turned around, only to find she had hastily buttoned up her shirt in the intervening seconds.
"Gotcha!" Emma laughed, playfully punching him in the arm.
James smiled despite himself. Her favourite gag, he though.
"So, what else do you know about the ruins?" He asked, taking a seat on the bed.
"They almost seem Orcish in origin, but that can't be right as only Dwarves would dig so deeply." She answered, joining him on the bed.
"I tipped the waiter big for a reason, you know." James said with a smile.
"Clever as always. Shall we go ask him?" Emma asked.
"In a bit." James said with a wink. He held her jaw in his hand. "Still as beautiful as ever, Emma."
Emma kissed him first.
