Part 3

“Boss, no.” Jack said.

“It’ll be easy!” Rebecca insisted.

“This is too fucking weird even for you.” Jessie said.

“Cradle robber.” Marv added. “You’re a bit old for this.”

“I don’t want to fuck her!” Rebecca yelled.

“What’s everyone so worked up about?” Hamlin asked as he entered the room with breakfast.

“Rebecca managed to find us some lucrative work, but...” Heather said quietly, fidgeting.

“She wants to drag along a teenager so she can fuck her!” Jack finished.

“You killed her boyfriend last night too.” Jessie added.

“I didn’t mean to! If he hadn’t attacked me after waking up he would have been fine!”

“Why do you even want her? Her blood taste that good?” Jack asked.

“It’s not that, Serge attacking me caused a... complication.” Rebecca said, quieting down. “Jessie, Serge isn’t dead, despite what you saw outside last night. Well, I guess he is, in a manner of speaking.”

“You didn’t...” Jessie gasped.

“Yes, we have two lovely teenaged vampires. Serge was an accident, but Victoria was on purpose. I liked her lust for revenge against all who wronged her.”

“Where are the two lovebirds right now?” Hamlin asked.

“See for yourself.” Rebecca replied, getting up off her coffin and opening the lid, revealing the two bloodstained teenagers, fast asleep and locked in an embrace. Victoria’s mouth was slightly open, revealing her fangs, which were still red with blood. “While my luxurious coffin is certainly big enough for all 3 of us, it’s obviously not ideal and not just because I’ll be playing grab ass with a teenager.” Rebecca explained, closing the lid again.

“Rebecca, a single coffin is one thing but...” Hamlin started.

“No worries there.” Rebecca said, cutting him off. “I have a plan, we just need to get to The University. I know for a fact it’s less than a day’s journey from here to Dragonpost, so let’s get going. Hamlin, I’m choosing to put what little faith I have in you.” Rebecca reopened the coffin and carefully climbed in, choosing the side with Victoria. She winked at Hamlin, then closed the lid.

“I can’t believe the Boss has done this.” Marv said, shaking his head. “I knew she made terrible decisions but by Vordea’s blood this is a terrible one.”

“Let’s trust the Boss, Marv.” Jack answered, standing up.

The group eventually left after finishing breakfast, with Hamlin taking a moment to talk with the Innkeeper before departing, carrying the ornate coffin on one shoulder, to a few curious looks from the patrons in the inn. With a smile on his face, they headed north towards Dragonpost.
