Part 2
Vordea walked down the dusty road whistling. While Port Sulala wasn't very interesting, it gave her a nice starting point. Begnus was an intriguing man to be sure, but he wasn't High Priest material. So, where would she start?
Back at the customs office, the guards were still cleaning up from Vordea's whirlwind of an entrance to the empire. As they cleaned, one of them stopped to talk to Begnus.
"Was that really Lady Chaos?" He asked. Begnus nodded.
"Seems so. Every single God Rune in the building was triggered." Begnus replied, pointing at the exploded runes in his office.
"What did she even want?"
"Seems she's looking for a new High Priest."
"Hah!" The guard laughed. "I feel sorry for the poor bastard."
Begnus looked around. He wondered if this is what the High Priest of Vordea would deal with all the time? He didn't say anything, but inwardly he was intrigued by the idea of being a Priest of Lady Chaos. Thoughts for another time, he supposed, and he resumed picking up bricks. Later on, once it was finally mostly cleaned up, Begnus's supervisor called him over, now that the excitement had died down.
"So Begnus, I'm looking over our office copies, and is all of this accurate?" He asked.
"I'm afraid so. Godrunes that have been in place for hundreds of years blew, we got ourselves a God in the Empire." Begnus answered.
"No, the part about a new High Priest."
"Oh, that. Yes, she claimed she was looking for a new one, that Karand was too boring."
"Hmmm. I also noticed her title here. Just Goddess?"
"She said anything else would be like calling me a 'form filler'." Begnus said with a shrug.
The supervisor nodded.
