Eigengrau and Agbus entered the room after Vordea sent Rebecca and her party away, and looked around.

"Where are we, exactly?" Eigengrau asked. "I followed the directions to get here, but this does not feel right."

"Carcosa." Vordea said, smiling. "Well, an imitation of it I have hidden deep underground."

"Dear, why do you have a replica of Carcosa buried underground?" Agbus asked. Vordea shrugged in response, and Agbus shook his head.

"So Saffron was still lurking after all these years. Intriguing." Eigengrau said, looking around.

"I almost didn't believe it either until Vordea described the unique presence an unborn soul has." Agbus added.
