Part 2

Back in the inn, Sirene was holding down Rebecca to keep her from chopping off her own arm.

"Let me go! It's obviously spreading!" Rebecca shouted as Sirene had her pinned on the floor.

"Calm the hell down!" Sirene shouted back at her. "My Master will be here shortly to take care of this. You're not cutting off your arm!"

"What happened to her arm?" Jack asked, his eyes wide as he stared at Rebecca's skeletal hand flailing about.

"She punched Liddell." Vicky said. "Liddell grabbed her arm, said something, and this happened."

"I don't want to be a fucking skeleton!" Rebecca screamed, punching Sirene with both fists to no avail. "Let go of me you psycho!"

"Da mihi vires cum hoc fatuo agere." Sirene said, gritting her teeth. "Master! Hurry the fuck up!"

"All in good time, Apprentice." Eigengrau replied, appearing before Sirene and Rebecca. She glanced at Rebecca's hand and then looked back at Sirene. "Apprentice..."

"It was her fault!" Sirene said. "She just ran up and punched Liddell!"

"You said nothing would happen!" Rebecca shouted.

"I said probably!"

"Go fuck yourself!"

"Fuck me yourself you coward!"

Sirene and Rebecca kept arguing, ignoring Eigengrau, until Eigengrau had enough.

"SILENCE!" Eigengrau shouted, raising her voice. "This is simple enough to fix, even for you, Apprentice."

Eigengrau knelt down and touched her hand to Rebecca's skeletal arm. The flesh immediately stopped its slow decay toward her shoulder, and reversed course, regrowing and restoring her arm to normal. She shook her head and left the room, heading back upstairs.

Rebecca looked at her arm, and flexed her fist. The range of motion seemed to be fine, and the strange decay was gone. She motioned with her head toward the chairs, and Sirene nodded. Sirene let go of her and let her stand back up, but examined the healed arm closely.

"Of course." Sirene said after a couple minutes. "Localized tempus and locus."

"Meaning?" Rebecca asked, curious.

"She turned back the time on your arm to before Liddell rotted it. Along with a divergence point, it now never happened, instead of just being healed."

"Does that mean-" Rebecca began, but was interuppted.

"No, Liddell can do it all over again. We need a new plan." Sirene said, cutting her off and shaking her head.
