Part 4
Sirene stayed at the university for more than 3 years. In that time, she spoke enough about time magic to fill a library, but stayed away from how to actually cast any spells. She called it a forbidden school of magic that should not be meddled in. When asked why she is able to use the school of magic, she just smiles and says that’s between her and Lady Eigengrau.
“I’m sorry to see you leave, Ms. Ignitis.” Xavier said, standing at the gates of the university.
“You must understand, Xavier, I simply need to move on. You’ve been feeling it lately, haven’t you? The pressure from Gilnas City.” Sirene said, donning her cloak.
“I must admit I have. Still, the knowledge you’ve given us is greatly appreciated.”
“I understand now why Xilro likes this place though.” Sirene said, laughing. “I will speak its praises in my travels, I can promise you that. Good-bye, Xavier.” Sirene turned and began to walk north, towards the Far Frozen North.
“Good-bye, Sirene.” Xavier whispered, smiling sadly.
Sirene has returned to The University many times in the centuries since her first visit, though it remains an irregular schedule. Her most recent visit was in 757, but when she left she warned she would be gone for some time. Indeed, she has not been sighted anywhere in Karand, Tel Hazan, or elsewhere for nearly 10 years.
