Part 2
Later that week, Taenya prepared to leave. She elected to travel light, as going toward the Far Frozen North typically meant more encounters with her fellow elves anyway. After reassuring Demeter what felt like a hundred times that she would be safe, and that she would be on the lookout for news of Neptis, she finally managed to leave towards the direction of the snowstorms.

At the same moment, hundreds of kilometres to the south, Sirene was deep in the mangrove swamps of Whitemire, when she felt the magic reach her. The odd ancient sensation was enough to make her pause and think, while holding the alligator she was fighting in one hand.
"Wait, I know that magic." Sirene said out loud. "The Avalanche Princess if I'm not mistaken. Guess she finally stopped playing Fairy King. Good for her."
The alligator hissed at her in response.
Sirene decided what Syndra did was no business of hers, as long as she didn't use any time magic, and went back to wrestling the alligator.

On the Gheddan Steppes, Neptis felt the strange magic reannounce itself to the world, and wasn't sure what to make of it. She decided after she finished fighting this orc she'd ask a Chieftain about it, see if they could shed some light on it, but first...
"Hoy, you felt it too, right human?" The Orc asked her, parrying her staff, but holding off on a counterattack.
"That I did. Want to call it quits and find out about it?" Neptis asked. She knew she was getting nowhere with this stubborn idiot and it was a welcome distraction.
"Scholarly pursuits? Why, those are my favourite kind! Come! Let us go consult with my Chieftain!"

"Well, now this is interesting. Syndra Valmaris. Maybe I can retrieve my amulet after all." Vordea said out loud, feeling the magic hit her immediately, despite being in another dimension. "Maybe if I just ask for it? Agbus did say I need to be more polite."
Her tentacles started chattering excitedly at the prospect of a hunt, and started forming various shapes. The black void surrounding her also began to react to her schemes, and Vordea laughed and laughed for hours.
