Part 1

Taking Xalgaman's advice, Xellma decided the best place to enter the mortal plane would be in a remote spot in the Dragontail Mountains, near The Hissing Lobster. The Inn was well known for absolute neutrality, no matter who you were, so the worst that would happen would be dirty looks, assuming her demonic aura wasn't bothersome.

The sensation of your body forming from a puddle of black ink was certainly an interesting one, and Xellma was relieved to find she arrived still in her mortal disguise. She had also conjured up a cloak with a hood, but her beautiful black horns were just less obvious under a hood, and not completely hidden. Looking around, it appeared to be early morning, and she wasn't actually that far from the Inn, as she could see the it through the trees.

"Let's hope my demonic aura is a bit more subtle than Xolarand's." Xellma said, chuckling. "To return to The Hissing Lobster, though. Must have been 40 years now. Seems like I can't get away from this damned place, even in death."

Three adventurers were sitting outside the inn, enjoying the cool spring day, when they spotted Xellma walking out of the woods. While people frequently wandered into and out of the woods usually alone in the Dragontail Mountains, something seemed off about her.

"You getting that uneasy feeling too?" The first one asked the others.

"Yeah. Dunno why." The second one said.

"She might be a dragon. This is the Dragontail Mountains after all." The third one offered, also unsettled.

The three of them decided that must be it, and nervously waved at Xellma as she neared.

"Good morning." Xellma said, trying to act normal. "Is the Inn open yet?"

"Just a few minutes ago."

"Thank you." Xellma replied, and opened the door, going inside. Once the door closed, the three adventurers began urgently whispering to each other.

"Those were horns under her hood!" The third one said.

"You saw them too? I wasn't seeing things?"

"Not even dragons have horns in human form. What is she?" The second one asked.
