Part 2
Syndra was discussing strategy with Ryul and the Baron of Yaveserin when Xellma arrived. She noticed how Xellma simply walked into the room, and she wasn't warned of her arrival beforehand, which already concerned her.
"Princess Valmaris I presume?" Xellma asked Syndra.
"Yes, I am her." Syndra replied, after a pause.
"Excellent. Please ask your two friends to leave, so that I don't have to." Xellma answered, sitting down in a large plush chair immediately, and paying the guards no mind.
Syndra was already nervous about this demon, but decided an empty room would be more secure. She nodded, and motioned for the guards to leave as well, before sitting across from Xellma in another chair, a table between them.
"So, what can I do for you, Queen Xellma?" Syndra asked, deciding to show her the same respect as a fellow royal.
Xellma smiled, Syndra was already giving her the proper respect. "You know where you stand, excellent."
"I was briefed that you are the Queen of Demons, so I am giving you the respect you are due." Syndra answered smoothly.
"So you're the famous Avalanche Princess. You don't look like much, but that doesn't mean anything. Show me something interesting." Xellma said idly, looking at Syndra. Nothing about her was very interesting so far. "Actually, I have an idea." Xellma said, grinning. "Syndra, slap me."
"No." Syndra said, much to Xellma's shock.
"What?"
"No. Why would I hit you?"
"Oh, this is far more interesting that I thought." Xellma said, leaping up and approaching Syndra. "You're immune to Queen's Orders. Why?"
It was Syndra's turn to be suspicious. "What's that?"
"Well, as I'm sure you know from your dealings with Xolarand and Xalgaman, all demons have auras." Xellma said, still barely inches from Syndra's face, and licking her lips. "Mine is called Queen's Orders. When I use your name, you have no choice but to obey."
Syndra's curiosity immediately overtook any sort of caution or reason, and she smiled wickedly.
"Show me. I'll bring Ryul back in here, but don't harm him."
"Of course not."
Within a minute, Ryul was back inside the room, and being looked at quite closely by Xellma.
"You know, he's kind of cute." Xellma said, hands on her hips.
"Don't get any ideas. Remember, don't harm him." Syndra warned Xellma, looking at her.
Xellma had a wicked idea come over her, and loved it.
"Ryul, kiss Syndra on the lips, and then slap her." Xellma said, the amusement on her face plain to see.
"What-" is all that Syndra could get out before Ryul approached her, kissed her right on the lips, and then gave her a hard slap.
Ryul was stunned immediately after this happened, and began to grovel.
"Princess! I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me! Please don't hurt me!" Ryul begged, on his knees.
Syndra instead laughed quite heartily, seeing this power firsthand, giving a slap to the back of Xellma's head. "Oh get up Ryul, I'm not mad."
"Quite the prankster aren't you?" Syndra said with a smirk.
"Had to be something he'd never voluntarily do, or you might not believe me. Could have had you felt up instead." Xellma said with a grin.
"Quite the pervert too. Yes, I saw how that aura of yours works." Syndra answered with a wink. "You carve a geis on their soul, and they are compelled to obey. I know why it doesn't work on me."
"Oh?" Xellma raised an eyebrow.
"I don't have a soul to carve a geis into." Syndra explained, laughing. "It'd be quite effective on me otherwise."
"No soul? Ryul, forget everything you just heard us talking about, and leave the room." Xellma said, looking back at Ryul.
Ryul nodded, got up, and left the room immediately. Xellma turned back to Syndra.
"You've given me some very useful information, Syndra. Much more than you could possibly know." Xellma said, draping her arms over Syndra's shoulders, who brushed them off in response.
"Oh did I now? What do I get in return?" Syndra demanded.
"Well you're clearly not into being tortured so I'll think of something else. No matter, we'll have some fun once you die." Xellma pouted. "Oh I know!"
Xellma knelt down on the ground, and a small inky puddle appeared. Reaching through, she dug deep and pulled out a rather large and ornate grimoire, encrusted with dozens of diamonds.
"Is that what I think it is?" Syndra asked, eyeing it.
"Sinaht Magkrana's Book of Magic. This book is at least 3500 years old, and has been lost for millennia." Xellma confirmed, placing it in Syndra's hands. "You're probably wondering why I even know about this book. Let's just say I had a vested interest in finding it myself, once upon a time."
"Where did you get this?" Syndra asked, opening it gently.
"From Hell." Xellma answered with a sharp laugh. "You can find anything in Hell, you should know that, Snow Thief."
"What?" Syndra asked.
"What." Xellma answered immediately. "You want Sinaht Magkrana too? He's probably down there somewhere." Xellma asked.
"Can you do that?" Syndra asked. "I got other people I'd want instead, though."
"Hmmm, probably not. Even if I could, they'd just be ghosts." Xellma admitted. "I do know if you ever come to Hell again while still alive, you aren't allowed to leave again, though. Royal Void's orders. So don't even think about it.
"I have a throne to reclaim, Xellma. I don't have time to steal trinkets from Xolarand anymore."
"Oh, please try. I'll torture you... personally." Xellma said, licking her lips.
"I don't think so. Don't you have something to do?" Syndra asked, annoyed now.
"I mean, not really?" Xellma mused. "You can't exactly make me leave either. Oh! Do you have any prisoners you plan to execute?"
Syndra was interested again, and listened intently.
