Notes on Demons

  1. They belong exclusively to Vordea
  2. The other Gods aren't even allowed to borrow them from her
  3. Names always have an X somewhere in them
  4. Have demon and mortal forms
  5. Love games
  6. View torturing souls as just a job
  7. Like to talk to the souls they're torturing
  8. Souls quickly catch on that demons are easily distracted and stop torturing if they're talking to you
  9. Cannot be permanently killed, even in Hell
  10. Souls are immortal and invincible, no mortal could ever hope to defeat a Demon, only banish it
  11. If a Demon is banished, they can't return for 500 mortal realm years
  12. Transformation into a Demon is very personal, and is akin to having sex with Vordea
Notes on specific demons

King Xolarand: The Demon King of Hell, when you die you must give an account of your life to King Xolarand. After your trial, he will ask if you think you deserve to be tortured, and will give your sentence if you answer yes. If you answer no, you are free to do as you please, unless the wickedness in your heart is too great. In that case, Xolarand will call for Vordea, who will transform you into a demon that matches the evil in your heart.

Sergeant Xalgaman: The demon in charge of all newly transformed demons for their first 2000 years in Hell. Guides them in embracing the evil that was always in their heart, and how to best torture souls. Has no idea what he's in for when Rebecca and Syndra one day die and come to Hell.

Queen Xellma: Once the cruel Ashen Empress, the pure black darkness in her heart transformed her into the greatest demon Vordea has made in a very long time, and Vordea is completely smitten with her, like a high school crush. Vordea loves power, so this is no big shock to Agbus, but it is to Xellma, who's not sure what to do. Unlike most demons, number 6 7 and 8 don't work on her, as she loves torturing and murdering people and always did, even as a human.

Notes on Hell itself
  1. Time passes much faster in hell
  2. 1000 years in hell is a week on the other planes
  3. Because of this the demons have a lot of free time on their hands
  4. What Hell looks like depends on who's looking at it, it will look however the viewer thinks it should
  5. All souls arrive at the Gates of Hell, and must wait their turn
  6. If you try to cut in line you get beaten mercilessly by the line demons
